Using these state-of-the-art techniques and a vast knowledge of art history and portraiture over 20 years, Ball has created two predominant and ongoing series, Portraits and Masterpieces. A focused installation of works by the 92-year-old American painter Alex Katz, one of the most recognized and widely exhibited artists of his generation, and presented in celebration of his appearance in Dallas as the honored artist at the 2019 TWO x TWO for AIDS and Art fundraiser gala in October. This unique presentation brings together a number of themes that characterize Katz’s work: portraits, landscapes, cut-outs, and party scenes. The exhibition will include a painting that is planned to be acquired by the Museum and four from local Dallas collections. Focus Installation Admission is FREE.
Big Texas Beer Fest

The Big Texas Beer Fest is one of the Southwest’s largest beer events and will feature over 450 beers from more than 100 breweries. In addition to award-winning beers from all over the world, the festival will also feature ten local food trucks and vendors, and local and regional bands. Attendees can also sample artisan food and non-alcoholic beverages from local vendors, such as Dallas Caramel Company and Saap Lao Jerky. Music and food trucks can be found in outdoor food and music pavilion. Free Play Richardson, a vintage arcade, is tentatively scheduled to be onsite in full force creating a vintage “Arcade Alley,” where attendees can relive favorite arcade games of their youth.
The Dallas Arboretum Food and Wine Festival

The Fourth Annual Food and Wine Festival returns during the spring’s most picturesque season, Dallas Blooms, themed “Sounds of Spring.” Enjoy an array of delightful wines and mouthwatering bites, and celebrate all things food. Learn and enjoy everything from growing, harvesting, raising, preparing, serving, sipping and eating food. The festival kicks off with the main tasting event on Thursday evening with a VIP experience that includes valet, special cocktails, a curated walk and early admission to the main festival. On Saturday and Sunday, guests can sip and shop various food, market, beer and wine vendors throughout the lush 66 acres. Demonstrations will be held all day in A Tasteful Place, too.
